Multiple signs point to September 15 for Mango

Multiple signs point to September 15 for MangoIt’s been just over three months since Microsoft officially lifted the lid on Mango, Windows Phone 7.5, but it seems like the wait is almost over.

More specifically, it appears that Mango – with its 500+ new features – might land on September 15. That’s, uhm, two weeks yesterday.

First we’ve got a "fairly well known commercial software company" telling WP Central that: "The (name removed to protect the innocent) Windows dev team has just learned that Mango is delayed until September 15th."

Second – and we’ll take this one with a pinch of salt – we have an HTC customer rep telling a user via a live chat session that Mango will arrive in September.

And third, the Dell Venue Pro, which is being re-shipped with Mango, is currently slated for a September 15 release.

Of course, those who’ve already invested in a Windows Phone 7 handset might have to wait a little longer than that for carrier approval, but in any case it looks like Mango is coming pretty freakin' soon.

Dear Mobot - As I pointed out in an email to you and a discussion post there is already one Mango only application "Tasks" in the marketplace that says Mango only, go to Zune for an update - but of course it's not there innit?
