MWC 2015: Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge pricing ‘confirmed’: from €699, €150 surcharge for the edge

We’ve covered the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge launch, and subsequently wondered if the Galaxy S6 is perhaps pointless though admittedly rather good-looking, but what we really want to know is: What’s the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge price, bro?

Turns out those Samsung Galaxy S6 price rumours from before were bang on the money for the S6 edge, while the Galaxy S6 is actually €50 cheaper. Phew!

Samsung neglected to mention Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge pricing at the launch event, or in subsequent web-based rambling, but SamMobile claims to have cornered a few officials and confirmed the numbers.

Without further ado, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge pricing:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6 price (32GB): 699 Euros (£506)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 price (64GB): 799 Euros  (£579)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 price (128GB): 899Euros (£651)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge price (32GB): 849 Euros (£615)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge price (64GB): 949 Euros (£688)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge price (128GB): 1049 Euros (£760)

Inevitably you can expect to add a few quid on there for the UK, but ultimately we’re expecting Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge price to match the iPhone and iPhone 6 Plus – give or take.

Thoughts? Were you expecting – or hoping for – the Samsung Galaxy S6 to be cheaper? Or is the premium price simply in keeping with the premium design? Will you be writing a big cheque for Samsung? Comments welcome below.
