Nope, but I've used enough cheap, no-name crap in my time to know that they all come under the same umbrella: you get what you pay for.

True, but I s'pose for some customers it is an option - to shut up the nagging kids or to read an ebook on holidays....

Read an eBook? On a 7" 480x800 display (with presumably awful viewing angles).

As for shutting the kids up, I guess that's about its only use. Load it up with (not too graphically intensive) games and a couple of films and hope it keeps them quiet in the car. Oh and hope the inevitably crap battery doesn't give out before you get wherever you're going.
