More news on the Google Nexus 5 to go with this morning's close-up pic expose, and this time there's some serious substance.
Google's next Nexus is reportedly set to start shipping in the last week of this month, and it will cost just half as much as the new Apple iPhone 5s.
Unnamed sources speaking to TechRadar have made the bold claims, which are just the latest in a long line of rumours surrounding Google's Nexus 4 replacement.
We're already expecting the Nexus 5 itself to be announced on October 14, together with the Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS it'll have on board, and while we've typically not been kept waiting too long for Nexus handsets to start shipping, the news that it'll be happing before the end of the month is nonetheless good news.
As for the price, well we'd have been seriously surprised if the Nexus 5 landed with anything like the same price as the iPhone 5s, since Google's Nexus strategy has increasingly been centred around offering hardware at prices other manufacturers simply can't match.
And in truth a sub-£300 price tag is what we'd have predicted anyway. But being reminded that you might be able to get two Nexus 5s for the same price as one of Apple's high-priced techie trinkets does put things in some perspective.
