Nokia has apparently accidentally leaked the names of four upcoming handsets on its website, before quickly removing the offending image.
The four appeared in name only, and are said to be compatible with Nokia’s Medium Universal Pouch CP-594.
They are the Nokia 305, 306, 311 and 605. As the numbering reveals, we’re well into the lower end of the spectrum, and probably talking S40 Asha type stuff.
Indeed, a manual for the Nokia 306 has leaked, and appears to confirm a capacitive display (240 x 412), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, microSD support, FM radio, and an 1,100mAh battery.
Nokia’s Asha series already includes the 200, 201, 202, 203, 300, 302 and 303. Asha handsets are primarily aimed at emerging markets, which is looking more and more like where Nokia belongs.
The Asha posse adopt S40, but don’t confuse the OS with Symbian or Jan will smack you up side the head.
