The Nokia 808 Pureview was originally tipped for a May release, then April, then May again, but more recently we were told we’d have to wait till June to get our hands on the super-snapper.
Now an update on Clove’s Nokia 808 PureView page suggests it’s been delayed once again.
Clove states: “First stock delayed until mid-late July. Colour variants to be confirmed”. Jeez, that’s a good six weeks away, at least.
It’s not entirely clear if it’s exclusively the UK's SIM free retailers that are affected, or if we’re facing a Nokia 808 PureView delay across the board – networks included.
Nor is it clear if there’s a global Nokia 808 Pureview crisis (er, bit melodramatic there, perhaps). As we heard before, Russia and India are first in line for Nokia 808 PureView goodness.
The Nokia 808 Pureview made waves at Mobile World Congress, being one of the few genuine surprises of the show, and rocking a ludicrous 41MP camera.
Reaction to the Nokia 808 PureView has been largely positive, however Team Ballmer won’t be too happy if the Symbian-based beast outsells the Lumias, Windows Phone 7 being Nokia's “primary smartphone platform” ‘n’ all.
