This has to be one of the strangest “new phone” discoveries we’ve seen recently, but oddly enough it’s not the first time this month a new Nokia phone has been discovered on a new Nokia phone.
Last time it was the Nokia 801 popping up on a Nokia 700; this time it’s the Windows Phone 7-running Nokia 900 popping up on a Nokia N9.
What happened is, see, a developer remote accessed an N9 at Nokia’s Finnish offices. Remote Device Access is generally used to test apps, but this guy decided to turn on the Bluetooth and see what he could find.
As you might expect, there are a hell of a lot of Nokia phones being used in the manufacturer’s Finnish office, and one of those appears to be the “Nokia 900 Windows phone”. Interesting.
Of course, going by Nokia’s new numbering system, the 900 should boast fairly ludicrous specs. Previous leaks have suggested a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 12MP camera, 32GB internal storage and 1080p video capture. Prettaaaaay pretty good.
Oh, you can check out the RDA thingy in action on YouTube.
