We first saw the business-oriented Nokia E6 in the flesh back in February, and the Finns have today made the phone official with a press release. Nokia tells us the E6 is “aimed a business people”.
The Nokia E6 is announced alongside the Nokia X7 and the latest version of Symbian (Anna). We’ll have more on the Nokia X7 and Symbian later. For now, let’s focus on the Blackberry-esque Nokia E6.
Of course, being primarily aimed at suits, the Nokia E6 sports a full QWERTY keyboard, which sits below a 2.46in touchscreen. With a resolution of 640 x 480 VGA, that makes a rather insane 326ppi.
The camera is 8MP, with a secondary camera for video calling. There’s also 8GB of on-board storage.
With its 1500mAh battery, the Nokia E6 offers up to 15 hours talk time, and just under a month of standby time.
The official Nokia E6 specs page shows the phone in black, silver and white, with availability varying by country.
At this early stage Nokia hasn’t mentioned anything about pricing or release dates. Stay tooned.
