I joked in What’s in a name? that Nokia will inevitably have to resort to using silly numbers for its Windows Phone Lumia smartphone range.
To date we’ve had the Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900, and lately a little something called the Nokia Lumia 719 has been rumoured.
A purported picture of the phone has appeared alongside the latest Nokia Lumia 719 chatter, and it’s decidedly unglamorous. Maybe it’s just the quality of the shot itself, but it doesn’t quite meet the bar set by the existing Lumias, and as such our mouths are currently stuffed with salt. Delicious.
Dodgy snapshot aside, the Nokia Lumia 719 is expected to be a regional variant of the Nokia Lumia 710. As Nokia’s numbering convention dictates, the specs will be near identical, including a 3.7in ClearBlack display and 5MP camera.
With rumoured support for both CDMA2000 and GSM, the Nokia Lumia 719 is tipped for release in China and the Americas. Will we shed a tear if the Nokia Lumia 719 doesn’t get a European release? Absolutely not, sir.
