Nokia Lumia 720 now available, circa £300

Nokia Lumia 720 now available, circa £300Nokia continues to churn out Windows Phone 8-based Lumia smartphones at an impressive rate. I make this the fifth such phone (maybe), the original trio being the Nokai Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620.

The Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 were officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, and the latter is now available in the UK for around £300.

Telefonica’s O2 has an exclusive red Nokia Lumia 720, from free to £179.99 on contract, or for £299.99 on PAYG.

Meanwhile, Expansys and Clove promise to sell the Nokia Lumia 720 SIM free for – again - £299.99. Handtec is a smidgeon cheaper at £293.99. None of those retailers appears to have stock at the moment, however.

Nokia Lumia 720 specs include a 4.3in display (480 x 800), dual-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage (with microSD compatibility), a 6.7MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and a 1.3MP shooter on the front.

If the Nokia Lumia 720 is a little out of your price range, check out the significantly cheaper Nokia Lumia 520. It’s currently going for £99.95 (+£10 top-up) at Carphone Warehouse.

True, I'd take the S2 anyday over this. Actually, there's not a lot I wouldn't take an S2 over on price vs performance...
