pah. hes the one who was saying android was 'fragmented' well maybe it is... LEAST IT SELLS sorry but wp and its obsession with 'avoiding fragmentation' by controlling specs is creating an uninteresting platform ... what would most people buy..

499 - apple 4s

dual core 512mb ram 16gb internal storage retina display

400 - samsung galaxy s2

dual core, 1gb ram, 16gb internal and external sd 4.3" super amoled display

400 - nokia lumia 800

1.4ghz single core 512mb ram 4.3" display 16gb non-expandable memory

it just sounds cheaper..

You're on to something - the lack of differentiation between wp handsets is probably one of the big problems. I mean, hello - imagine reviewing 5 "different" wp phones LOL
I also think MS seriously underestimate people's "need" for personalisation. Even the least tech minded folks I know have their own wallpaper on their 30 buck phones.
But hey: MS doesn't want you to change Desktop wallpapers on Windows Starter/Basic, either. And god forbid you should try and change icons! Dll purgatory!

It really is fate that MS and Nokes hooked up - MS don't get individuality and freedom in the same way Nokia failed to "get" touch. And the middleman is Elop. A modern CEO - ie the type of CEO who couldn't use his "own" products without a manual; the type who's creative outbursts result in asking for 2 lumps of sugar instead of the regular one. He's about money. Not innovation. Not tech. Not engineering. He's the equivalent of the 80's bunch of ex-wallstreeters who took over Hollywood and ruined it - and now dream up sopa and pipa to protect THEIR money... In the last 3 years 90% of Hollywood's big studio output was prequels, sequels and remakes! That is the kind of creativity Elop represents.
It'll bring both Nokia and MS down.
