Nokia Lumia 800 update fixes audio bug

Nokia Lumia 800 update fixes audio bugBack in March, Nokia started rolling out software update 1600.2487.8107.12070 (phew) for the Lumia 800, primarily focused on enhanced power management and - resultantly - improved battery life. However, it also introduced a few dastardly niggles.

But fear not, as 1600.2487.8107.12072 is here to save the day, woohoo!

When 12070 began rolling out, we were told to expect enhanced bass in audio playback and overall improved audio quality, but there were reports of an annoying audio bug, particularly when gaming.

The latest update, 12072, addresses the audio bug, and is also said to introduce some sort of flicker reduction in the camera app.

Supposedly 12072 has already started rolling out in certain regions, however there’s nothing official on Nokia Conversations just yet.

If you’re really desperate for the update, head over to MobileTechWorld and follow the instructions there. Of course, you do so at your own risk, and we’ll mock you relentlessly if your Nokia Lumia 800 explodes.

It was wise to drop everything to rush out this WP devices, eh...

So, now we have 3 eco systems with brain drain. "MeeGo" on the N9 - even on PR1.2 still buggier and under-featured than the N900 on its first Maemo.
Symbian with delayed fragmented updates and, oh yes, third: Windows Phone... bugs, bugfixes, and fixes to fix bugfixes...

And that with M$ spending like a drunken yuppie to persuade bloggers and devs and Hello-readers of the greatness...

At this point I wonder if they'll release the PureView without a gallery app? They can always update that later, or give people a hundred bucks and a Lumia 610 in exchange...

Oh come on that's just silly all companies do bug fixes.
HTC have had two that I've read about for the One X and that's barely out the door.

the battery drain WAS serious....it was stressing me out trying get thru the day....making sure i was never further than 2metres from a plug.
Updates are a way of life really....not too bothered as long as it gets done.
