Back in March, Nokia started rolling out software update 1600.2487.8107.12070 (phew) for the Lumia 800, primarily focused on enhanced power management and - resultantly - improved battery life. However, it also introduced a few dastardly niggles.
But fear not, as 1600.2487.8107.12072 is here to save the day, woohoo!
When 12070 began rolling out, we were told to expect enhanced bass in audio playback and overall improved audio quality, but there were reports of an annoying audio bug, particularly when gaming.
The latest update, 12072, addresses the audio bug, and is also said to introduce some sort of flicker reduction in the camera app.
Supposedly 12072 has already started rolling out in certain regions, however there’s nothing official on Nokia Conversations just yet.
If you’re really desperate for the update, head over to MobileTechWorld and follow the instructions there. Of course, you do so at your own risk, and we’ll mock you relentlessly if your Nokia Lumia 800 explodes.
