I’m quite enjoying this new Mobo-trend for killing two news birds with one stone. Exciting times.
In story the first, Clove has announced that the Nokia Lumia 900 UK release has dropped back to June, while across the pond Nokia has acknowledged the purple hue display problem.
On these shores, stock of the Nokia Lumia 900 was expected around mid-May, but Clove for one reports that first stock has been delayed till the week commencing June 4. Also: colour variants TBC.
Speaking of colour, there have been rumblings of a display problem with the Nokia Lumia 900 across the Atlantic, specifically that there’s a purple hue when automatic brightness is disabled and the smartphone’s lights are dimmed.
Over on Twitter, some guy asks: “@NokiaCareUS do you guys have any answer for this purple hue on low brightness? I'm on my 6th problematic device, on the verge of giving up”.
Nokia Care responds: “we have identified the issue and will be addressed through a future SW update.”
There’s no specific date for the Nokia Lumia 900 update just yet, but it’d be nice if the problem was addressed before the smartphone touches down in the UK, huh?
