If you're tempted by the Lumia 925, get this instead. Sturdier and just as competent.

Great deal, I paid about £500 for this in red about a year ago, and of course I'm a little aggrieved about the price drop but if I ignore that, I can't say I'm unhappy with it even at that price, the camera is excellent. To me the 1020 one seems a bit excessive (although I'd still like it, but not enough of an upgrade). I believe the 920 even has some advantages over the 925, I think it has more storage on the basic model and wireless charging (which I initially thought was a fad, but it actually great) is built into the not excessively chunky device itself. I did think it was quite a big phone, but that was before I saw the 1520 in the flesh.

Agree... some of the 1020's camera might is destroyed by the lag. I love the 925, but the 920 is sturdier, and the camera seems better in some situations. And storage, yes....

Yes, the camera on the 920 is great, I can't really imagine many people would make use of the 41MP functionality of the 1020 anyway. I'm not sure if they fixed the awful red eye when using the flash on the 920, but apart from that it's a great camera even at 8MP or whatever it is.

Bad move, never buy a high end WP device at full price. If history is anything to go by, their price almost always drops like an anchor.

Saying that, by all accounts, the 920 is a good phone. Not sure I'd spend £500 on one, but it's a bargain for sub-£170.

Yes. For anyone interested in a pretty good camera, sub £200, this is the best choice.
Otherwise buy a Moto G. Or or or....

Yep, I won't be making that mistake again, but it hadn't budged much even nearly six months after launch. I'm not sure the 1020 is enough of an upgrade and is still expensive, I'm being patient waiting for the 1520 to become around half price!
