Nokia Lumia 928 Laser shown off in all its polycarbonate glory

Nokia Lumia 928 Laser shown off in all its polycarbonate gloryOn Friday we wrote about the Nokia Catwalk, and now it's time for its Lumia cousin the Laser to star in its own piece of pre-order leakage.

Courtesy of @evleaks we have what appears to be a bona fide press shot of the Laser (a.k.a the Lumia 928) to show you, revealing... well, not a whole lot really.

In fact, looking at the Lumia 928 you'd be forgiven for instantly dismissing it as the Lumia 920. Which is kind of the point really – save for some design tweaks it's by and large expected to be the same phone, with rumours of an aluminium body having died out.

So that means the same PureView-branded camera (you can see confirmation of that in the @evleaks image), the same 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, the same 4.5in 720p display and 1GB of RAM.

And no doubt the same hefty overall weight – the chassis may be slightly thinner and possibly lighter than the plastic of the Lumia 920, but it probably won't be by too much.

The Lumia 928 is set to be the CDMA version of the Lumia 920 for the US Verizon network, with the design changes rolled in because of the time it's been since the Lumia 920 was first announced.

It's expected that the next round of genuine new-generation Lumia handsets, of which the Catwalk is said to be one, will all or nearly all be aluminium-bodied.

I assume - IF a gsm variant ever comes out - its price will be something like £700 sim-free?! Otherwise: lovely device.
