Nokia promises to 'blow your socks off' with first Mango smartphone

Nokia promises to 'blow your socks off' with first Mango smartphoneWith sales, profits and market share slipping away, Nokia can't get its first Windows Phone 7 release out soon enough.

The company clearly reckons it'll be worth the wait, however, and reckon it will “blow your socks off” when it does touch down later this year.

Hard and fast specifications for the debut Nokia Windows Phone are hard to come by at this stage, but Nokia senior training consultant Dave Trevaskus has stirred up the desire factor a couple of notches by promising via Twitter that it will be something special – or, as he put it, “this device will blow your socks off”.

We're also not sure whether Nokia is focusing on getting a single debut release out the door in the months leading up to Christmas, or is lining up a pair of Windows Phone offerings. Both theories have their supporters.

Either way, Nokia has a huge amount riding on the WinPho handset/s being well received, so it's clearly aiming big.

I think I heard this before.
Thinking, thinking, thinking really hard ...
Ahh, yeah it was some company (such a long time ago, cant remember (_;) ) boasting how great new OS and Torch would be. And again right before complete disgrace with release of PlayBook.
