Nokia teases QWERTY phone launch, prob’ly not a Lumia QWERTYThere’s an unwritten rule that says Jimmy Martinez usually handles the Nokia-related stuff on Mobotron, but you’ll have to make do with my nonsensical rambling this morning. I’ll be gentle.

I’ve just mentioned everyone’s favourite Finnish mobile manufacturer; in particular I speak of an imminent QWERTY Nokia launch. Interdasting.

There’s an exceptionally brief teaser over on Nokia Conversations, under the heading 'What's up at Nokia?', but the crew isn’t giving much away at all.

Indeed, the only thing confirmed is that the Nokia QWERTY launch will go down at 7am GMT, suggesting the event is taking place somewhere east of London. Like, way beyond London (as opposed to Margate).

In addition, Neil Broadley will host a Q&A session following the Nokia QWERTY launch, with the first question possibly being: “Where’s Stephen Elop?”

Joking aside, that probably means we’re not looking at a Lumia QWERTY, exciting though that would be.

In reality, we should expect some sort of Asha, most likely, with the Z and Shift key in the image above matching what we’ve come to know and love from the series to date.

We’ll have the full Nokia QWERTY story on Wednesday morning.
