Not content with stealing the show at Mobile World Congress with the Galaxy S II, Samsung also delivered the must-see device of this year’s IFA in Berlin with the Galaxy Note.
We were initially hearing that the Samsung Galaxy Note would touch down early in 2012 in the UK (with a late 2011 appearance in Scandinavia), but Clove now reckons it’ll be November.
The Clove Blog explains: “We’ve had a lot of interest in Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Note smartphone. So much so that we’re being asked on a daily basis for an approximate release date. We can now confirm that the first stock of the 5.3” beast is due to be here late November.” Excellent.
Clove is sticking by its initial estimate of a £600 price tag (including VAT), and suggests that said price is “likely”. Eek. The retailer adds: “if you place an order at this stage you will not be charged and will be given a chance to confirm your order before it is charged and dispatched.”
The Samsung Galaxy Note has a 5.3in display, dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 8MP/2MP cameras, and a removable 2,500mAh battery. Rumours that Mobotorial Director Emma is buying me one at lauch as an early Christmas present are as yet unconfirmed.
