Any O2 peeps use O2 home broadband?

I can get a good deal on O2 home broadband since I have O2 mobile. Anyone using it at the mo? How is it?

I have it and it is absolutely fine. No problems at all. I've never been capped or anything like that although I think new customers will be on a contract that states P2P traffic will be throttled at peak times (VPN should be used if you're torrenting lots anyway)

O2 broadband is just a front-end for http://www.bethere.co.uk/. Actually I think O2 might own them now, but whatever, it is/was a proper internet company with proper infrastructure. O2 didn't just decide to do broadband and start from there.

I expressed major upset at the new P2P throttling so they gave me 6 months free, just for a laugh. That more than pays for a solid VPN :-)

I've had O2 broadband for about 3 years now. It was orignally £7.50 p/m down from £12.50 with my £5 discount for being an o2 mobile customer. This has now gone up to £9.50, as the agreement I signed to (unlimited and unthrottled) is for obvious reasons no longer available. I get 8Mbits regardless of time of day, and I have had (other than some initial teehing troubles) no issues at all. I would give o2 an unqualified recommendation for their broadband.

Yep, been very good for just over a year. Much better than my girldfiend's Orange broadband which is very unreliable (could be due to old copper wires though).

Used to be on BeThree broadband, migrated to o2, once I realised I could get the same service for much cheaper. Getting a stable 13 mbps download on ADSL2. Not noticed any shaping, but I don't do much P2P, just the odd Linux Distro download.
