o2 simplicity pay & go deal question

I want to get the o2 £5 simplicity deal from here - http://www.o2.co.uk/explore/tariffs/paymonthly/simplicity

But I am a wee bit confused. If I top up my phone with £10, does that mean that I have the other £5 to use for calls?

Yeah, that sounds about right. If you top up with £10, they take £5 for the tariff, therefore giving you the unlimited texts. You have £5 remaining on your phone. If you want to, just leave the £5 balance in your phone, and use it towards the following month's £5 bill.
