As the (presumably) lovely Kate Solomon of TechRadar notes, the BlackBerry PlayBook will arrive at selected branches of the Carphone Warehouse one day ahead of other retailers. You can grab yourself some RIM tablet action from 15 June; that's this Wednesday.
Those eager for QNX beaver should head to Carphone Warehouse stores in Selfridges on Oxford Street, Westfield, Manchester Trafford, Bluewater and Bristol Cribbs.
The BlackBerry PlayBook has a 7in display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5MP rear shooter with 3MP on the front. Not too shabby, huh?
However, despite the rolling out of a second update – namely BlackBerry Tablet OS v1.0.5 – there’s still no native email client. Jeez Louise.
There are three models, priced £80 apart. The modest 16GB model will set you back £399, the 32GB unit weighs in at £479, and the 64GB behemoth is £559. Incidentally, those prices are identical to the Wi-Fi only iPad 2. Which would you rather have?
