I’m going to come right out and say it: I don’t believe for a second that the Google Nexus 5 was “accidentally” leaked in that Kit Kat unveiling video. Google filming its own employees using a prototype phone and no one clicked? Yeah, right.
Similarly, this story reeks of being carefully orchestrated. See, a Google Nexus 5 was left charging in a bar, and consequently it’s leaked in both pictures and video for the world to see. Google must be RAGING! Or not.
We’re told that a Google employee left his Nexus 5 on charge in a bar while he nipped to the loo, at which point a phone-loving bar employee realised he was looking at a top-secret prototype, and proceeded to take pictures and film video.
I can’t imagine how many bars you’d have to leave a Google Nexus 5 in around here before anyone would notice or indeed care. In fact, it’s infinitely more likely to be stolen.
That means a Google Nexus 5 with a 5in display, though obviously our bar employee wasn’t able to get past the lock screen. The cheeky bar steward.
Clearly, Google wants you to wait for the Nexus 5 to touch down before you make an informed decision about your next phone. The latest whispers suggest the Google Nexus 5 launch will go down on October 14, just under four weeks from now.
