Oppo Find 5 32GB variant officially confirmed

Oppo Find 5 32GB variant officially confirmedWhere were we with the Oppo Find 5. Let’s see; officially the world’s first 1080p smartphone, and launched in the US a couple of weeks ago. You know the one.

The Chinese manufacturer has spilled a tad more Oppo Find 5 juice on its Facebook page, most excitingly that there’ll be a 32GB variant.

The press release accompanying the Oppo Find 5 launch mentioned only a 16GB model – with no microSD slot for expansion. Bah.

However, over on Facebook, Oppo yells: “We wish Ofans around the world a Merry Christmas full of joy and laughter! 2013 will be a year to look forward to. Until then, consider this a small gift…”

The “small gift” in question is a teaser shot of the Oppo Find 5, with the 16GB model weighing in at $499 and the 32GB variant costing $569. There are a couple of asterisks beside those amounts, though the related small print is absent. Inevitably it'll be something about prices varying by region and what not.

Interestingly, the Oppo Find 5 is also confirmed for a handful of European countries, including France. As such, it’s probably not too far fetched to imagine an Oppo Find 5 UK release.

Oppo Find 5 specs include a 5in 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2), and a 2,500mAh battery.

Fancy it?

Definitely, Samsung have announced production of a 4.99" 1080p display, too. Even though they've not officially announced that it's heading for the S4, it obviously is.

Yeah, £500 (once it gets to the UK), for a 16GB model is more than a Note 2 oO!!

Yeah, I read it on some Android blog that it is in fact confirmed for release in the UK. That and the picture which says it'll be released here.

Lol Lewis needs glasses. :p

Does seem expensive. I guess the Moto X-Phone may make a big move next year to counter these 5 inch phones.
