Curiously, we’ve been writing on and off about the Oppo Find 5’s successor for almost seven months now, and indeed the original rumour piece can be pretty much disregarded at this point.
See, a lot has changed in the smartphone game over the past few months, and as such it’s no surprise to hear that the latest proposed Oppo Find 7 specs have been cranked to the max.
For starters, the Oppo Find 7 (which probably won’t have a 7in display, confusingly; we’re told 5.7in) is tipped to adopt an eye-melting resolution of 2560 x 1440, which looks like becoming 2014’s version of this year’s 1080p flagship standard.
Other rumoured Oppo Find 7 specs include a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 3GB of RAM, and LTE connectivity.
The slightly suspicious claim here is that the Oppo Find 7 will rock the spanking new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, which is vaguely promised for “the first half of 2014”. With the Oppo Find 5 having launched way back in September 2012, we would’ve expected to meet the Oppo Find 7 pretty soonish.
Having said that, perhaps the Oppo Find 7 will be one of – or maybe even the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 device. The Oppo Find 5, of course, was the world's first 1080p smartphone.
If that all sounds good to you, well, there’s a good chance the Oppo Find 7 will find its way onto the Oppo Style Europe store, where you can currently buy the Oppo Find 5 from €299 (roughly £250).
