For those unfamiliar with Chinese manufacturer Oppo and its various wares, all you need to know is that last year’s Oppo N1 featured a rotating 13MP rear – and technically front – camera.
We’re skipping right past the Oppo N2 (no such thing) to the Oppo N3, and wondering what craziness the manufacturer has in store this time around. The latest batch of teasers suggests a camera that’s capable of rotating by itself.
Rather than just announce the Oppo N3 launch date (October 29) and let it lie, Oppo follows the slightly annoying tradition of releasing teaser after teaser, each rendering the actual launch event just a little more pointless.
But hey, at least we have something to talk about in the wake of the all the new Google and Apple stuff this week.
Specifically, this Oppo N3 YouTube teaser appears to show the camera rotating without human intervention. The video doesn’t specifically say that’ll be a new feature, and it could just be video trickery, but it certainly now looks like a possibility.
Other rumoured Oppo N3 specs include a 5.9in 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM, and the rotating rear camera will be 16MP – don’t’ think I’ve mentioned that yet.
Again, we’ll have the full story on October 29, and don’t be surprised if there are more Oppo N3 teasers in the meantime.
