There’s no shortage of Nexus rumours at the moment, leading us to believe that there’s definitely something big going down, even if the rumour mill can’t quite decide what.
The latest round of whisperings proposes an Optimus G (pictured) variant called the LG Nexus, arriving in the UK as early as next month.
First up we’ve got AndroidAndMe, reporting that one of their readers was handed an LG Nexus for testing, albeit just for a few minutes.
He yells: "I can confirm the next nexus is LG Optimus based. The phone looks surprisingly like the Galaxy Nexus and does not have sharp corners like the LG Optimus we already know.
"It has a silver’ring like the iPhone 3G around the outer edge of the screen which seemed to be similar to the Galaxy Nexus in size but was much better in brightness.”
Next up, we have MoDaCo with some LG Nexus specs, including a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, and 16GB internal storage – with no microSD, eek.
Finally, it’s Pocket-lint touting November as the LG Nexus UK release date.
One notion that seems to make sense is that Google is lining up five Nexus devices for the fifth anniversary of Android. That’d explain parallel rumours such as the HTC-developed Google Nexus 5.
