What options do I have for getting Internet on tablet when I'm outside?

I am talking about paid WIFI services (e.g. BT Openzone).

I bought the HTC Flyer 16GB WIFI earlier this week but do regret not getting the 3G version. Now I am looking at what options I have for getting internet on it when I am away from my home WIFI connection.

I know I can use tethering on my SGS2 but I am referring to other options?

A MiFi - you know, like a dongle but wireless. Three and others have them on bill- and prepay...

I'd go mifi or a cheap mobile with 3g and wifi. But for wifi
Bt openspace charges by the minute not by mb/gb which seems odd

Well there's the cloud too, free in some places, some charge though.

I find on three ireland I get better reception and faster speeds via MiFi than with any phone I tried tethering.

Oh yeah, mifi. I forgot all about that. Problem with three is that there is poor coverage in the particular area I go to use it.

also,
I already have a Vodafone dongle that I never use. I could in theory get it unlocked and get a data contract. But that depends if I can use that dongle on my tablet. I have the Micro USB to USB OTG adapter for my SGS2 which may work on my tablet?

I hear GIffGaff is a good option for cheap data.

Not really. O2 have the worst 3G coverage of all the UK networks and GiggGaff get pissy if you use your data for tethering. They're one of the networks which actually bother punishing people for using their data allowance on tethering.

I don't think you can get usb dongle working tbh.
Can get mifis unlocked though, but yeah wouldn't go for giffgaff, tmobile phone sim and £20 for 6 months net add on maybe.

I used that for years before I signed a contract a few weeks ago, a great choice for unlimited data IMO.

Went for the PAYG MIFI in the end (as per link). Though at least that way I can try it out and I'm not committed to a long contract if it doesn't work out to be any good for me. Plus it has a good resale value as well.

Thanks for all the help guys.
