Orange San Francisco, grey or white, £99 (incl. £10 top-up) @ Argos[Grab your San Francisco for just £89 @ Argos]

Fancy an Android phone for less than £100? Argos is currently selling the Orange San Francisco in stylish grey or white for just £89 (+£10 mandatory top-up).

No one is going to argue that the Orange San Francisco is better than, say, the HTC Desire HD, but as far as lower-end Android phones go, this one is pretty damn good. The San Francisco has a 3.5in touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera, FM radio and SatNav.

On the negative side, the Wi-Fi is reportedly a little temperamental (possible driver issue), but otherwise – it’s a highly decent phone.

The Orange San Francisco comes with Android 2.1 (Eclair). Orange has stated that it doesn’t have any plans to release Android 2.2 (Froya) for the San Francisco.

I got this phone about a month ago and unlocked it within 5 mins of opening the box. Got a 3 SIM in there and have had no problems at all. As with all smartphones the battery is not great - usually last about a day. I've also installed the Jellyfish ROM and it's running 2.2 like a dream. I have some great apps on there too.

3G Watchdog
Advanced Task killer
Battery Watcher
ES File Explorer
Handcent SMS

This phone is great value for money and it's better than my previous HTC windows 7 phone.
