Are the Orange San Francisco and ZTE Blade the same thing?

They look the same. How come the names are different?

It's just a branding thing for Orange to sell the ZTE Blade.
Vodafone, Tmobile and O2 all do something similar (or have done in the past).
O2 were the only Uk supplier of HTC phones at one point, though they were called O2 ### something or other.
If you can get one without the Orange bloatwear then good for you :)

Orange don't build mobile phones - so like Vodafone, O2 etc they now and again use handset manufacturers to make them a branded handset. In this case ZTE. In the olden days O2 sold O2-branded PDA's, Vodafone here in Ireland sell their own handsets made by Huawei etc etc...
