Does Orange have special deals for upgrading customers as opposed to new customers? Is there any benefit to being an upgrader?

I can't speak for Orange, but the other day T-Mobile started offering me my upgrade deals as my contract ends soon. They wanted £385 for a Note 2 LTE if I keep my current SIM Only contract running for another year.
Orange want £500 + £10 Top-Up for the Note 2 LTE on PAYG, so they're definitely offering some kind of deal to customers who are willing to renew, even if it's only a SIM Only Contract.

There is always an extra benefit of being existing customer and getting an upgrade. Most of the time you can get a better deal, but you have to be (soon to be) out of contract for that to happen.
If your contract didn't expire yet there is almost no chance you will get anything out of them.

I can get a free Nokia Asha 300 (yay...) on the same terms as the £385 N2 LTE, might just take it and sell it straight away rather than begging for a retention deal. Even if I only got £30 for it, it'd still make my contract £7.50 per month rather than £10 per month for the next year.
