Which of the new OS's do you think will be best?

iOS 5, Mango or Ice Cream Sandwich?

As a most feature rich and productive OS, Ice Cream Sandwich without a doubt. Mango is still way being iOS and Android in terms of functionality and iOS 5 has many suspiciously Android looking features about it...notifications...so as iOS 5 is copying things Android already does, unless Google totally mess up ICS it should be the best of the three. People's favourites though, that's just personal opinion.

Of the 3 probably ICS, agree.
But what about Bada v2.0? Symbian Belle?

Mango won't do it for me as long as they won't support mass-storage mode. And I find the Metro UI too ugly to use. Seriously. Yes, it is fast and smooth, but the homescreen legobricks and the crayola pen colours are not for me.

iOS 5? Who knows? I have no problem with Apple borrowing from Android. Every OS has its inspirers...

"Best" is definitely whatever floats YOUR boat.

I agree, Bada is fantastic to use. r1chr1ch, think Android but slightly smoother...less apps though :(. Jan likes his Symbian, (he's old like that ;)). Mango doesn't "do it", for me either, it's a bit to basic, they made it idiot proof but, I agree with Jan, to kid like. But best is an opinion, almost entirely. Personally, it'll be ICS for me, 99% sure already, but many people will prefer iOS 5, up to you really mate :).

I'm not sure I've seen enough of iOS 5 or ICS to make a judgement, but from what I've seen of Mango, it does look good. While I very much disliked the Metro UI at first with all its text falling off the page and large blank spaces, I've grown to really like it to the point where I can't wait for the Xbox 360 update and Windows 8.

As for Apple copying Google and other third-parties with iOS 5, well it was always coming, the iPhone's way of dealing with notifications has never been a strong point for it.

I've used iOS 5 Beta 6, it's the best so far, but IMO, not a patch on Android for functionality. However much Jobs said flash wasn't necessary/smooth on a mobile browser, it's now a serious missing feature from the iOS operating system. Windows 8 excites me unbelievably, as does the update for my xbox, I just personally can't stand it on a phone...maybe I'm just odd :p.

He may have been right about Flash not being smooth enough when the iPhone and iPhone 3G had a sub-500 MHz processor, but now it's pretty lame.

He WAS right, in the past tense. The iPhone & iPhone 3G had 620mhz single core processors underclocked to only 412mhz...I think the dual core Apple A5 chip could probably deal with a YouTube video ;).
