OVIVO Mobile, PAYG, 150 mins, 200 texts, 500MB, one-off £15 @ OVIVO MobileGet this OVIVO Mobile deal @ OVIVO Mobile

OVIVO Mobile offers cheap-as-chips tariffs in exchange for five seconds of ads when you open your browser, and they’ve just increased the monthly allowance on the Freedom package (which carries a one-off charge of £15) to include 150 minutes, 200 texts, and 500MB of data.

After the one-off charge of £15, you pay £0PM and the allowance automatically refreshes. If you go over your allowance, you simply eat into that initial £15 of credit.

OVIVO Mobile uses the Vodafone network.

Seems like a good deal.

How is the UK coverage like?

AhmadCentral  May. 18, 2013 at 22:15

It's vodafone. So you tell me ;)

SpeedyG  May. 18, 2013 at 22:24

Patchy to say the least. :p

Should be better when they use O2's network as well.

Huh, Do you have to open the browser to keep getting the free monthly calls/texts/data? sounds like a tariff that would be ideal for the parents simply because they'd never look at the bowser and their calls/texts would fall well within those limits

Nope. At the moment there is no explicit rule that says you have to use an internet capable device. In fact Ovivo state themselves that you don't need to have a smartphone.

BUT

Ovivo are PAYG so could introduce any kind of rule at any time. At the moment all they have is adverts every 15 minutes for about 5 seconds on the browser.

If that doesn't work they could start playing adverts half way during your phone call to make money. :p

So yeh, they can change at any time, but for now the service is great.

So far been Ovivo been working great. I didn't get any adverts yet, they will be starting in June for me. Will report if they are annoying.
