Are partial charges ok?

I quite often charge my phone for half an hour before I go out just to top it up so my battery doesn't run out when I'm out, then I charge it fully whilst asleep. Is that bad for the battery?

No, that is no problem... Consider how often you conect your phone to a PC to sync or to update OS, to transfer files etc etc... Every time it gets a partial charge. Maybe not ideal, but you won't kill the battery.

I KNEW you would notice :p

I had an inkling it was there for me to notice lol
In last two months only the nook has been connected to the pc and then turned out using memory card adaptor was easier. Admittedly the nexus can't anymore

Anyway I've read mixed opinions on whether it's good or bad. Definitely seems worse for laptop batteries in my experience. Mixed opinions on whether it constitutes a charge cycle or not.

But if you think about it it's largely the charging pattern they are encouraging you to adopt with Jan's favourite QI wireless charging, use it and drop it back on charger.
