Is it possible to pay a mobile phone contract without a bank account?
Like could you take the bill to the Post Office and give them cash or something like that?

Yes you can, however you are sometimes charged an extra premium to pay by other methods. You are not able to take a new agreement out without a bank account as this is used as part of the credit process.

No, why on Earth would you want to? If you're willing to take out a mobile phone contract, you're clearly willing to deal with large corporations, so why not open a basic, free bank account?

Well, you can anonymously (ahem...PRISM) do the prepay thing. You can't have an anonymous bank account.
