People call but my phone doesn’t always ring – why?

This has been known to happen with a number of different phones, however it’s more likely a temporary network issue than a fault with the phone. If the network is overloaded, the dialer might hear the ring, but your phone won’t alert you to the call.

Frodo is right. No harm though in ringing customer care. Years ago for some weird reason diverts were enabled on my account.

Twice now, I've been expecting a call, the cell phone is laying on the seat next to me, and I hear a little gurgle sound, then the face of the phone lights up and says I've missed a call. I have tried calling my cell from my home phone, and it rings just fine. I tried it with the blue tooth as well, and the phone still rang, but not in my ear.
