Any other toughened phones that will take a 3 SIM in the UK? I saw that the Samsung 2710? / 2700 had 3G capability - more generally if a phone has 3G and is SIM free, can I assume it would take a 3 SIM, or do 3 operate additional restrictions (getting the answer out of their customer service has not been possible)

Any unlocked or 3 branded 3G phone will work on the 3 network, but it has to be a 3G phone, 2G only phones simply won't work as 3 have no access to a 2G signal.
