The second phone/back-up phone

Thought I run this for a while for people like me who are considering buying a 2nd phone in case the main one is unavailable for whatever reason.

Ok, so £100 to spend on a decent phone. Talk time and standby has to be a decent level, battery has to last a day at least on medium use and wifi is useful to have alongside 3G but not necessitous. So smartphones and feature-phones will take precedence at this price-point.

Mobot, what are your suggestions?

I agree. The nokia asha 303 and 300 are excellent backups

Honestly, I'd get an Asha or another Nokia. You want the backup phone 'ready for action' when you need it. Those phones have good to very good standby times. Reception is, generally, better than on more expensive phones. You'll get a replacement battery without hassle in 3 or 10 years time etc etc... If you add 50 bucks you have more choices, but I'd say for £100 those are your best bets. Unless you wanna go 2nd hand?
