What will your next phone be?

I was tempted by the HTC One X, and again by the Samsung Galaxy S III, but I think I'm waiting to see what the iPhone 5 is like. Or maybe the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

But there's also Windows Phone 8. And BlackBerry 10 :p

On a similar line if Google can come out with the Nexus7 for £179,

£159 so yep have been wondering that myself, does seem an extreme difference for 3g, higher pixel density and couple of other slots. But them being smaller does add to costs too.

Think my next serious phone may not even be on the drawing boards yet. 4g or forget it so even Blackberry 10 will be here too soon. Not that I'd expect to get that one before it vanishes anyway.

The iPhone 5 an the Note 2 are the only phones this side of MWC 2013 that even slightly interest me. That probably has a lot to do with the fact the S2 I already have can do everything a 2012 phone can do, just as well (in most cases).

We know you've got your heart set on a Lemon yellow Meizu MX quad really.

Still wondering if HTC will go for One X or One S XE editions in latter half of year. JB could brighten up current phones anyway if manufacturers chose to.

That cheap Chinese piece if crap which we heard about in 2011, and still isn't available (or not in the UK, anyway)? Nah....I'll pass, thanks ;).

Yes, actually they are the only 2 on the horizon I'm interested in.
This year has been good to cure smartphone-mania imho.

"What will my next phone be?"

Expensive

Honestly, where has this false economy for smarphones come from where top of the range phones cost £400-£500? Many tablets don't cost that much, and they have considerably larger and more expensive screens/batteries etc, it just seems mad!

On a similar line if Google can come out with the Nexus7 for £179, can they also come out with a Nexus4 (3g smartphone) for £99 please?

Maybe 4G if not, a cheap dual core phone on Android.

My next phone will likely be whatever the one after the one after the gnex will be. (wouldn't mind the gnex's successor i imagine, but it'd be too soon to spend so much on a new phone so soon...)

once you go nexus, you don't go back i guess.

I'll be sticking with my N8 for the foreseeable future.
I've not seen anything so far to tempt me away from it. Well, there is the 808 Pureview, but even then i'm not sure I really want it.
Not a big fan of Android or iOS so that just leaves WP8 to try to lure me away from Symbian.
