Phone for music, or separate mp3 player?

Do you use your phone to listen to music, or insist on a separate mp3 player?

I'm definitely in the latter group, but not sure why! Partly because of battery life I guess. Plus I just kinda like having both! :p

Separate mostly. Phone only as a back up if battery goes when out and about, if it goes before I leave the house I've a back up mp3 walkman:)

I was a confirmed separate until recently. Lately most of my listening has been on my Phone and my iPod classic is in my car glovebox attached to my Car Stereo.
Battery life? Sure the Classic goes on for ages but given that I listen to music during my daily commute (an hour each way) it's hardly going to drain it much more than me reading the news sites while I'm travelling.

Phone, though I did get a free iPod Touch 64GB a few weeks ago, so I use that now to stream music in the car just to save on battery. All my favourite songs are still on my phone though.

Phone only.....downloaded PowerAmp from play store, got some decent headphones and the sound is fantastic......

I have all mine on my phone although compared to a specialist MP3 player like a Cowon, the sound is pretty poor. Probably not something that someone who is intending to listen to Rhianna through a pair of Beats headphones is going to notice though!

But, but, but....Beats are expensive, so they must be the best, right? *insert face of offended "music lover"*

:p.

Really? o_O that is ... unique? Not in the car? Bus? Train? Shopping? What do you do against all the mental ambient noise outdoors?

I like listen music on my cell phone and i dont have to carry two devices. Also the quality of sound in cell phones have improved a all lot these days. No doubts iPods are good but while travelling cell phone suffices. i bought my headphones from Wireless Emporium
