What happens if your phone is off when you get a text?

If your phone is off when someone texts you, do you get it when you turn your phone on? Or is it like one of those tree falling in the woods moments.

Yes, the messages are stored on the network's servers - you'll get them when the phone's on again (same applies when you're out of coverage)

If it helps, messages are generally stored for 7 days before expiring so as to avoid them clogging up the network servers. During this time numerous attempts will be made to deliver the message.
