Phones 4u lands exclusive white HTC Desire X with £150 Beats headphones

Phones 4u lands exclusive white HTC Desire X with £150 Beats headphonesMartin had a seriously good moan about the lackluster HTC Desire X (nee Proto) a few hours ago. Sadly, it’s the Taiwanese manufacturer’s only offering at this year’s IFA over in Berlin. Sob.

However, if Martin hasn’t put you off entirely, you might be interested in a cheeky HTC Desire X deal – exclusive to Phones 4u.

Firstly, Phones 4u will debut the HTC Desire X in white, with "a significant lead to market". If history has taught us anything, it’s that people like a white smartphone.

Better still, on tariffs above £26, Phones 4u will offer the HTC Desire X with a free pair of Beats Solo over-ear headphones “worth £150”. A quick google search shows them going for £105.59 at Handtec. Just saying.

Interested? You can pre-register your interest in the HTC Desire X (and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, incidentally) over at Phones 4u, right here.

HTC Desire X specs include a 4in display (480 x 800), 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 768 MB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, 4GB internal storage (augmentable via microSD), and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).

It’s hardly going to turn HTC’s ailing fortunes around, but it doesn’t sound too bad. Having said that, we can’t wait for the HTC Incredible Sensation X – essentially the same phone with 1GB of RAM.

is this just a sensation but with a slightly downtuned cpu?

Ooops thought it was £150 on p&g for a second, that would have given it some potential.

Given that the One X has been available on contracts as low as £15.50 this at £26 is laughable.

Lower clock speed, but a better chip. It'll be about as fast as the Sensation. It's yet another pointless, middle of the road HTC device.

I'm past caring, the One X was the final straw for me (or more importantly to HTC, my money). Samsung are the only Android using manufacturer who I'd actually part with my cash to own one of their devices. I'd rather have an iPhone than any of the others, at least I could sell that on in a year's time for barely any loss.
