Six phones expected from Nokia at Mobile World Congress

Six phones expected from Nokia at Mobile World CongressI have to admit I’m rather guilty of forgetting that Nokia is Barcelona bound. Er, I’m blaming the fact that they didn’t make an appearance at Mobile World Congress in 2011. Ahem.

Nokia fans, however, will be left foaming at the mouth when I say that the Finnish manufacturer is expected to unveil a whopping six new phones. Cripes.

Pocketnow has “gotten wind” of Nokia’s Mobile World Congress haul, though it neglects to say where from. Also, we’ve only got names to go on at the moment; no specs.

First up is the Nokia Lumia 900, or should that be the Nokia Lumia 910 – the global version of the US Windows Phone revealed at CES last month. Russian madman Eldar Murtazin suggested the camera would get a bump from 8MP to 12MP, but that theory was shot down by Nokia’s Damian Dinning.

According to Nokia’s numbering convention, the Nokia Lumia 610 won’t be worth getting too excited about, with more modest specs even than the Nokia Lumia 710.

A Symbian chap is also expected (N8 successor, maybes?), as well as three S40 feature phones, namely the Asha 302, Asha 203 and Asha 202.

Who knows - the Lumia 610 might be exciting if it was a real recession buster, and delivered good quality at a feature phone price?! If, however, they overprice it like they initially overpriced the Symbian 700, then it's probably a no no. And there's a chance it'd be ugly, too :p
