Pic taken by ‘Nexus 10’ appears on PicasaApple looks set to give the Google Nexus 7 a spot of bother in the “tweener” category, with the 7.85in iPad mini launching on Tuesday. Probably.

It makes sense, then, that Google should plan a counterattack in the form of a 10in Nexus tablet, and there’s a tad more evidence that said device does indeed exist.

Oddly, much the same thing happened back in June, when a pair of images purportedly taken by a Google Nexus 7 appeared on Picasa.

Now we have a snapshot taken by something called the ‘Nexus 10’, which, according to the rumour mill, is a 10in Nexus tablet (er, obviously), with Samsung being tipped for manufacturing duties.

Rumoured Nexus 10 specs include a resolution of 2560 x 1920, firmly within Apple’s definition of ‘Retina’, and a fair bit higher than the new iPad’s 2048 x 1536.

There’s plenty of Nexus rumour action brewing at the moment, with the LG Nexus 4 and HTC-built Google Nexus 5 tipped for imminent launch.

Google has an “Android event” scheduled for October 29, a week on Monday. A bit early for the Nexus 10? Maybe. Possibly. Probably. But you never know…

Oh well... can't have too many tabs.
Although - with Tesco (and similar) already selling the Galaxy Note 10.1 at discount prices,
how many tabs until the pudding is spoiled?

Still not seen the Note 10.1 reduced here.

Granted, that seems to be some special deal for Tesco Ireland (I suspect a connection to some Irish schoolbook publishers), but still: a LOT of people pas through Tescos. That price label sticks!

Anyway... No need for more tabs I think. :p

Might change the device name on my phone to iPhone 5S just so people get excited.

That's another good point - very easy to re-tag/edit metadata.... Even to very deep levels.

I'm a bit confused... is this the Nexus 10 that was a hoax?

Pondlife  Oct. 22, 2012 at 13:02

Thought it was the sony nexus that was a hoax, could easily be both though
