Otherwise, I think I'd have to say BB10 (which I honestly prefer the look of compared to 2nd place iOS, which is extremely dated nowadays, IMO).

Z10 good reviews and sales suggests BB are back in the game for 3rd spot at least.

iOS does need an overhaul - and there are such good UI improvements in Cydia these days.
It's not like Apple couldn't cherrypick and polish.

Lots of features that Apple have baked into iOS over the years have started life in the Cydia store, haven't they? Even when I had my iPhone 3G, there was loads of cool visual effects you could get from Cydia. Didn't the notification centre start life there, too?

I definitely need to play with a BB Z10, it looks like a very interesting device and I'm pleased to see it seems to be selling well (reports of it selling out in various places here in the UK).

Windows Phone just doesn't deserve to survive, if it wasn't being funded by a company as big as M$, there's no way it would have lasted even this long. BB10 looks intuitive and interesting, WP8 (and WP7 before it) looks boring and childish.

WP 8 for sure. I think it's easiest OS to use for the phone.

ive been on all platforms apart from BB10 so ill reserve judgement for that until next week when i may have a quick go while shopping in town. To say WP8 doesn't deserve to survive is a joke. Its the most refreshing OS to come out in years,its just a pity Iphone and droid fanboys cant see past their own loyalty. Wp is intuitive and interesting

iOS is the standard, dull, OS that just works (sorry to say their tag but it is true)
Android is the exciting, tweak anything OS that you can more or less do anything that takes your interest (tho quite often it takes more time to work out what you want to do!)

The third ecosystem really needs to be something between the two, Windows Phone 8 looks really nice but to my mind it is too close to iOS (walled garden, limited tweaks available) without the benefits that iOS has (largest app support, limited number of phones to help app supporters), plus everyone I know who has had a phone has had some issues with it, be it notifications not working or the phones just falling apart (shame on you Nokia 800)

BB10 is more "worthy" of the third ecosystem in my mind because it really does sit on the fence and encompases the best parts of both iOS and Android, for example they have stated they will stay with the screen sizes for some years to come, making it easy for app developers to create apps that work well on all devices. They have made it a closed ecosystem for ease of use but allow a lot of flexability within that model like allowing HDMI, microUSB, replacable batteries, USB OTG. TBH id like to see BB10 get traction just to demonstarate that things like replacable batteries, USB OTG and HDMI ports should be on all phones as standard
