What's the point in Everything Everywhere?

Will Orange and T-Mobile ever merge proper? The Everything Everywhere brand seems really pointless.

Orange has good 2G coverage and T-mobile has good 3G coverage. They are merging networks to have both for customer.
It will take a very long time for Everything Everywhere to establish itself as brand name. Just pick better deal between the two and coverage will be the same.

It's a better deal for T-Mobile customers though, as they have a good 3G signal and Orange have a good 2G signal, but when using the other network you're only granted access to their 2G network. So T-Mobile customers gain a useful boost in 2G signal whereas Orange customers only gain a T-mobile 2G signal that they don't need....

3G signal sharing is in the works. Hopefully soon.
