Prediction: Nexus Tablet?

Google have the Nexus series (One/S/Prime) as the reference implementation for Android phones. Often debuting alongside a new android release (the Xoom was kind of the equivalent for Honeycomb).

Seems to me that a Reference tablet made/commissioned by Google surely can't be out of the question (especially now they've bought Motorola) to launch alongside the nexus prime with ICS?

Thoughts?

certainly when google acquires motorola in the next 6 months or so they would certainly have the skill to produce their nexus phones in house maybe with HTC/SAMSUNG involvement so they dont feel as though google are going it alone, if you will.

A Google Nexus Tab would sure be interesting, definitely not out of the question, IMO. It would seem a sensible thing to do now the big G own Moto. Also, it'd let Moto, finally get to use the "Nexus", name, as they're they only large Android device manufacturer that haven't had a go yet. I'm discounting LG as their Android line up is weak and small compared to: HTC, Samsung and Moto.

i love the way people keep saying google has bought motorola... they haven't. still got to get past the anti-trust people...

True that, I reckon they will though. There's little public outcry about it, unlike the "AT&T + T-Mobile = Massive rip off for US customers", deal.

my bad I thought it was a done deal, it certainly seemed that way judging by how most of the tech blogs are writing/have written about it.

Whether it's moto or not I think the concept of a nexus tab launching alongside ICS is still viable.

oh i agree. i recon we will see a nexus tablet when they have started to gain a reasonable share of the market...

The anti-trust thing is even more curious when you consider who holds a sh*tload of moto stock... can't say more... (tip: not me)

Who owns Moto stock? I googled it, but I was pretty unsuccessful :p.
