The SIM free/PAYG price was around £500 two months ago, but you can now pick up a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for less than £400. Eek.
At the time of writing, Expansys is sticking to £449.99 (free shipping). Meanwhile, Play.com is offering the Xperia Play for £399.99 (free delivery), and Clove is a tad cheaper on £390 (£7 next working day delivery).
However, Amazon is your best bet at the moment. You can grab a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for £379.99 via forever_5. Postage is an extra £4.59.
Of course, there’s every chance gamers are holding off for the 5in dual-analogue PlayStation Vita, due for release later this year (possibly). At E3, the UK price was announced at £229 for the Wi-Fi only model, or £279 with 3G.
