If the rumours are on the money, it’s set to be a big year for Apple, with both the iPhone and iPad reaching new heights. Literally.
While the iPhone 6 displays (yep, two models) will supposedly stretch to 4.7in and 5.5in, the iPad Pro is tipped to measure a whopping 12.9in diagonally, and here we’re seeing what’s supposedly a Pro-flavoured prototype.
Credit goes to Weibo, and needless to say there’s not a whole lot to go on, other than a game of Chinese whispers suggesting we’re looking at an iPad Pro prototype.
It certainly ticks the size box, with the iPad Pro looking like an absolutely colossal beast while held in one hand.
However, the only things visible on the back of the iPad Pro prototype are an Apple logo and the rear camera. Fair enough it’s a prototype, but where are the power, volume and mute buttons, ditto the speaker grill?
Yeah, we’ll take this one with a pinch of salt for now, though it is generally accepted that the iPad Pro will make an appearance at some point, taking aim primarily at the education and enterprise markets.
Apple hasn’t yet announced any new iOS products this year, but – in addition to the iPhone 6 and iPad Pro – we’re expecting an iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, and not forgetting the much-discussed iWatch, the Californians’ first foray into “wearable tech”.
