Australian firm Kogan raised eyebrows back in January when it announced the Agora, a dual-core Android 5-incher with a seriously impressive £119 RRP.
Well, now there's a new Agora on the scene, the Agora Quad-Core Smartphone to use its full title, and while the price has gone up to £149, you get plenty of extra bang for your extra buck.
As with most entry-level devices, you're in the wrong place if you're looking for sophisticated apps or cutting-edge design. What you do get is a spec sheet you have no right to expect at this price.
It starts with a 5in IPS display with a 720p resolution, and also includes a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP/2MP cameras, 4GB of storage, a 2,000mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Kogan sells its products directly to the public rather than relying on a distribution network – part of how it keeps its costs down – and will have the Agora in stock from October 9, though you'll have to wait another week or so after that for delivery.
