When was the last time you came across a decent new flip-phone? Chances are it was nearly a year ago when Lewis scribbled about Samsung's rather pricey SCH-W999, which – sadly – never made it out of the Far East.
And it'll likely be the same story with this, the SCH-W2013, a quad-core number that has been given the stamp of approval, it seems, by no less a personage than martial arts movie legend Jackie Chan.
Now we're sure Jackie knows his business, and wouldn't put his name against something just for the money (shudder the thought), but let's take a look anyway at this flip-phone Android's credentials and see what it has to offer.
Like last year's W999, the W2013 offers two identical 480 x 800 screens on each half of the device, though they've expanded slightly in size from 3.5in to 3.7in.
More impressive is the 1.4GHz quad-core processor on the inside, which teams up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You can even expand on that courtesy of the included microSD card slot.
You're well covered on the camera front too, with a 8MP/1.9MP pair of snappers to handle your photographic and video calling needs, and tying it all together is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which ain't no Jelly Bean but could be worse.
All good, then – though it's safe to say we're no more likely to see the SCH-W2013 on European soil than its predecessor. Though that's probably for the best, since the price is estimated to be around the £1,800 to £2,000. Jackie Chan ain't no cheap date, it seems.
